It seems that the Jihadi militants throughout the globe are trying to initiate a new age with fresh styles of offensives, emboldened mindsets and changed strategies. How can one come to this conclusion? Take for instance Mumbai or the financial capital of India. The way a group of 10 well-armed and highly trained terrorists ravaged the city and took control of two luxury hotels and a Jewish center for 62 hours leaving almost 200 dead comprising 10 foreigners is amazing in the world history.
This indicates that the terrorists are getting interested to target the civilian populations instead of governmental institutions and ministers to create a greater mayhem. It became evident that the terrorists had been specially trained in building warfare.
Well, this is in no way any isolated incident and that became evident when only a week after this a similar incident happened at the eastern city of Khost in Afghanistan. It has come to the knowledge that two unidentified suicide bombers in unison assailed the Intelligence Agency (NDS) of Afghanistan’s headquarter and its counternarcotics building. A group of undisclosed armed men in military uniform stormed into the building following the blasts and started firing indiscriminately.
The rapid counter offensive succeeded in making the deadly assailants retreat leaving behind one dead Afghan police officer and three wounded NDS workers. The three wounded workers were taken to an International Security Assistance Force hospital for treatment without delay.
It is true that these types pf incidents are almost regular in the present political climate of Afghanistan and the militants busy in making Jihad don’t even take note of the mighty presence of a strong U.S. troop in eastern Afghanistan.
If you are attentive, you will find a relation between the two consecutive attacks in these two countries of the world. It may be that the Jihadis are realizing that the buildings can provide them better shelters during fierce combats and this can frighten the civilian population at the same time. We are entering into a new phase of urban guerilla warfare.
