Have grants first. Make buildings afterwards

Have you ever heard the name of LeRoy Haynes Center? It is situated at La Verne, California and is regarded as one of the largest and most comprehensive non-profit organizations of its kind in the state. What is the main aim of the organization? Well, it serves children those who have special needs regarding emotional development, autism, Asperger’s disorder, learning disabilities, abuse, neglect and abandonment. The LeRoy Haynes Center, in the length and breadth of USA, is highly esteemed for its high standards, breadth of services and the nurturing, caring and therapeutic approach to providing its services. However, nowadays, the institute is in the news owing to a different reason.

The dignified institute is at present concentrating on the renovation of several residential units in the complex of the LeRoy Haynes Center and it has doing this for the last two years. How can they do this amid the present economic recession? It should be remembered that we are present at a time when several exalted projects due to the paucity of funds are coming to abrupt ends. A brief interview with the dignitaries of the institute has revealed that the existent funds happen to be the greatest strength behind these promising projects. What lesson do you draw from here? If you have the requisite grants, you can go for extending residential buildings in spite of the economic stagnation.

Speaking on this, Dan Maydeck, president and CEO of the Haynes Center said confidently, “A homelike environment is critical to the recovery process of these abused and neglected young men. We could not have made progress of this magnitude without the generosity of these special donors.”

He also said, “Particularly during these uncertain times, we are grateful for both their past support and for everything they are continuing to do today in all areas of our operation.” “We pledge that with their help we will continue to fulfill our own mandate to support the children as energetically as possible in the spirit of the more than 60-year-old tradition of our founder.”

If you want to have buildings, go and arrange the funds at first. Or else? It’s impossible.
