Take the lesson from the Chico High School

What is the best definition of urbanization? Is it merely a social process whereby cities grow and societies become more urban or city-like? Well, this can be the opinion of some pundits but the true significance is deeper than this. It’s true that some essential requirements are there and they must be fulfilled at the very outset if you desire to make your area urban. This is not only related with the spate of lofty buildings, splashy shopping malls and theatres but also with many other aspects. Don’t you think that a proper educational infrastructure displays the urban spirit emphatically? It is indeed. What should you do therefore? You must concentrate on the construction of schools with proper buildings and all forms of amenities that play effective roles in the production of brilliant students.

How can you proceed? This is a difficult question but you can certainly make Chico High School in Butte County, California, United States of America as the role model.

The Chico High School is at present concentrating on a $13-million project that is able to give it a facelift and is moving with the project successfully and effectively. According to Michael Weissenborn, the facilities planner of the district, the building on two new classroom buildings is scheduled to start this summer but is awaiting confirmation from the architects of the respective state. It has been learnt that the two buildings will present 30,000 square-feet of classroom and conference space.

These will include science labs, a classroom with a kitchen for teaching special education students life skills, a lab designated for agricultural sciences, new space for the Academy of Communication and Technology, and small meetings rooms for teachers. There have also been frequent meetings before the finalization of the last plans. What is the result therefore? The new structures will combine white stucco and red brick that reflect the character of the rest of the campus and gives it an attractive second entrance on Sacramento Avenue. The concerned authority is definite to render the area a new object of pride and to outshine others in respect of education. Why don’t you do the same?
