Government’s bid to introduce new homes in England may face stubborn resistance

The confrontation between modernization and rural sector is not limited to the Asian countries only, especially the developing ones, but is making its presence in the developed world also. Well, there is nothing to get amazed since the developed countries depend lots on agriculture also and any move to usurp that may face worst criticisms and stubborn resistances at the same time. It has been learnt that the present day England is on the verge of facing same fiery days. Nevertheless, the credit to perturb the placid rural sector, in this context, goes to the Government.

The Government is changing its approaches and it seems that it is no longer ready to protect the greenbelt. This idea is indeed a great threat to the rural sector. The ministers, as has been found, are ready to brush aside planning controls as part of the Government’s pledge to build three million new homes by 2020.

Is there any possible danger? The worst fear of the concerned people and groups is that equal to 16,000 villages small towns, villages and hamlets across England would be affected due to this abrupt change of rural planning policy. They have termed this as “fundamental shake-up”. The fresh reports state that good incentives will be given to the farmers along with landowners to sell off lands to developers. Besides there are rosy dreams that the councils’ role in indicating new sites in every village and community will play a crucial role.

Nevertheless, according to observers, this may be the hardest pasture since no villager will ever be ready to accept this. The countryside protection groups have already started warning and stated that the Government would face dire consequences if it dares to move on with the plan of making homes.

It should also be remembered, that in excess of six million people in Britain live in rural communities with populations of less than 3,000. The government’s decision to make large scale homes is certainly not appreciated.
