Landmark Credit Union, it has been found, is on the verge of relocating its headquarters to the erstwhile Merchants & Manufacturers Bancorp. operations center in New Berlin. Well, apart from this, the organization has adopted several other significant decisions. It is known that the Landmark Credit Union is, for the time being, is located at 2775 S. Moorland Road in New Berlin but is set to make use of the new space for offices along with a call center. This has been informed by Ron Kase, President, Landmark Credit Union.
According to the statement of Ron Kase, in the Moorland Road office there will be the presence of a branch with the lending and investment functions. Is this any abrupt decision or taken to avert the dismal effects of the ongoing downturn? The concerned authority has strongly refuted any such speculation and stated that the decision was longstanding. For this simple reason, on the word of the company, the former Merchants & Manufacturers building in the Westridge Commercial Park was purchased for $5.75 million. It has also been learnt that Landmark Credit Union with the net asset of $1.2 billion is destined to spread out its operations and posted “pretty good” results in 2008.
Colliers Barry in Milwaukee represented the credit union and CB Richard Ellis represented Harris Bank, which had closed on its acquisition of Merchants & Manufacturers in September 2008. In this regard, Tom Bolger, President of Harris Bank Wisconsin, stated emphatically, that the Harris Bank paid $5.3 million in putting into effect its choice to acquire the former Merchants & Manufacturers offices from Milwaukee developer Anthony Palermo.
Toronto-based BMO Financial Inc., the owner of Harris Bank, ceased to run the operations center in the month of September 2008. This incident happened only after the completion of its acquisition of two Milwaukee-area bank holding companies, Merchants & Manufacturers and Cedarburg-based Ozaukee Bank NA.
