Linn County favors new county buildings

Are you acquainted with the name or picture of Linn County? It is a nicely built county and is located in the U.S. state of Iowa. The area is named in honor of Senator Lewis Linn of Missouri and its county seat is Cedar Rapids. What’s more, it is one of the three counties that make up the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area. Now what makes me talk about this Linn County in particular when there are innumerable counties all over the United States of America? Well, like other counties Linn County has its own aspirations and the recently concluded survey in the length and breadth of the county reveals that the bulk of the residents has some special demands.

What are these demands? According to the good sense of Mindfire Communications of Cedar Rapids and the Quad Cities, the company that conducted a $15,375 survey in the county, the majority of the people is in favor of accessible location of county offices along with plentiful parking but not of downtown county building. It should be kept in concern that the survey was conducted to know people’s thoughts regarding the county’s damaged buildings and where the public wants county offices to be.

The target audience of the survey consisted of, nevertheless, Linn County residents age 18 and older. Whey were they selected? The only reason is that they are known as the poised representatives of the society, according to many. But this not all in any way. The survey proves that the young generation, in spite of being castigated or reprimanded severely, is conscious of the social changes and the growing needs as well.

The survey has revealed that there is a great need to protect county facilities from future floods, find a location that is easy to get to from most parts of Linn County. Well, there is indeed a long list but the ultimate gratification depends on the concerned authority.
