Green building – industry’s best future

Is there any possible way to recover from the present crisis in the construction or building industry? This question is too obvious as the real estate sector is one of the worst affected industries in the realm of the U.S.A. thanks to the ongoing global financial meltdown. Not only are the developers disconsolate but the gigantic building projects have either been stopped or held back to a later time. What should be done therefore? Well, this has been the greatest question of the building industry so far but it seems that a solution is in the horizon.

The majority of the nation’s builders are looking at the prospect of green construction, in respect of both new construction and remodels, as the best way to the industry’s future and several pertinent organizations have been found to start concentrating on this. What’s more, the same view has been expressed by the local president of the Home Builders Association of Washtenaw County. He is Jack Campbell of Marhofer Campbell Development Co. who did share the dais and deliver a priceless speech at annual International Builders Show in Las Vegas, the largest city in Nevada, a state in the southwestern United States.

Campbell’s attitude became manifest through his statement where he said “green revolution” in home building remains the only way to get rid of the existent crisis that has made market reach an all time low. In this regard he brought forward the recent announcements of Pulte Homes regarding the building of Energy Star homes. He said, “The green building practice is going to become the norm.” “I don’t think it’s just a trend.”

Will it be acceptable to the common people? Campbell seems to be quite hopeful and said that these products can truly lead to a more environmentally sustainable building.

We don’t know yet what the outcome will be. However green construction saves lots and this single prospect can entice more and more people.
