Mechanics Bank gets new manager for Real Estate Industries Group

Mechanics Bank has at last, after many deliberations, got a new manager for the Real Estate Industries Group. It is Caroline Sjostedt who happens to be a veteran real estate lender along with almost a quarter century of experience. It has been learnt that the new manager’s office will be at the bank’s East Bay Regional Lending Group headquarters in Walnut Creek, California. Mechanics Bank is well-known for its proficiency and is an independent bank with $2.7 billion assets. The bank has its headquarter in Richmond, California and excels in proffering personal banking, business banking, trust, brokerage and wealth management services through 33 offices across Northern California.

Speaking on this Cort O’Haver, Executive Vice President and Division Manager of Corporate Banking told, “Caroline’s deep knowledge of the complexities unique to the real estate industries has always impressed me.” “Especially in this challenging environment for growth and profitability, it’s great to have the leadership of a consummate professional.”

However, Ms. Sjostedt is no vagrant in this industry and has gained rich experiences through years and working in various positions. She initiated her career in the mid-1980s with Union Bank’s Real Estate Industries Group. She worked therefore twelve years at a stretch which was followed by six years as a senior manager in the Real Estate Division at U.S. Bank, then three years as the Real Estate Bank Group Marketing Director for Bank of the West. In the recent days she was made Senior Vice President and Manager of the Income Property Group for KeyBank Real Estate Capital and was the leader of a team of real estate professionals marketing a wide variety of real estate loans.

What is the academic qualification of Ms. Sjostedt? She is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara and is the proud possessor of a Masters of Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento.
