Pennsylvania to get new business school at vacant building

The McCann School of Business & Technology is seriously thinking of increasing its presence in the state of Pennsylvania and in this regard it is trying to establish a branch campus. Well, this renowned privately owned business school has got lots of apposite places already but its first preference, as has been found, is South Middleton Twp. The school has selected a vacant building in this township for that purpose. South Middleton Township happens to be a prominent township in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States.

There have already been some progressions since the McCann School of Business & Technology has received favorable reception from the township planning commission. It is regarding occupying the erstwhile Sprint building along the 300 block of York Road. What is the present activity of the school then? It has been learnt that the school is set to take over the sprawling 50,000-square-foot building on about 15 acres of land by the coming month of March. You can easily understand the area of the building since it consists of more than 300 parking spaces.

What makes the school open up a new campus? It is the burgeoning number of students. What’s more, a new interest of business and technology has been noticed among students (may be as a reaction to downturn) and MSBT is leaving no stone unturned to exploit it. The school has campuses in Pottsville, Sunbury, Hazleton and Dickson City, outside of Scranton by now and its first school was initiated in 1897 at Mahanoy City as a school of accounting and secretarial training.

The school has traveled a long distance from that time and nowadays it offers 13 associate degree programs in various subjects. These include computer science and programming, early childhood education, paralegal studies, surgical technology and administrative office technology.

The aim and approach of McCann School of Business & Technology is making the city council hopeful to a great extent. The only reason is that this indicates a good increase in property tax revenue for the county along with township and school district.
