Will the initiative of the prosperous village of Plainfield be able to raise awareness in reality? Well, this question is roaming in the pertinent environs of the village and in the state of Illinois. It is to be noted that the village Building Department of Plainfield will celebrate Building Safety Week from Sunday to May 9 to help raise awareness of building safety. What is the theme then? The theme is Building Safety: Where You Live, Work, and Play.
Plainfield is a village in Will County, Illinois, United States. The Village includes land in Plainfield and Wheatland townships while part of Plainfield is located in Kendall County (Na-Au-Say and Oswego townships). The Village has established a community Preservation Commission and historic preservation ordinance. It is the home of the Lake Renwick Preserve, a county forest preserve used for birdwatching and other activities.
What are the most dominant reasons behind the introduction of this project? According to the discretion of the village authority, the majority of people (even at the time of entering the house) remain hardly conscious of house safety or whether it has been properly constructed. Nevertheless due to the local safety experts, who remain conscious of building safety and fire prevention every day, there has been no such catastrophe so far.
Speaking on this Joe Baber, village building official said clearly, “The important work we do is often overlooked until a catastrophic tragedy occurs.” “When building safety and fire prevention experts inspect buildings during and after construction, we help to ensure that the places where you live, learn, work, and play are safe.” “Public safety is our No. 1 concern,” said Baber. “During Building Safety Week and all year long, building safety and fire prevention officials are here to help protect you and your family.”
Keep in mind that the department will conduct an information session on the permit application process 5-7 p.m. May 4 at Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport St. Inspectors and permit technicians will provide information and be available to answer questions regarding permits and application requirements. Handouts will also be available on permitting, flood cleanup, mold prevention, green building, and preparing for natural disasters.
