Kolkata realty sector refuses to die down

What is the condition of real estate sector in Kolkata (previously Calcutta)? Well, before moving any further, let’s check the strategic position of the city of Kolkata. It is one of the largest cities in India and is also one of the largest cities in the world. In addition, Kolkata is regarded as the main center of business activity in eastern India and all these have made real estate sector of the city attain new heights.

There are, in fact, a number of prominent builders and developers in the city and each one of them is responsible for rendering city’s inhabitants residential space and commercial complexes. These include shopping malls, entertainment centres, flats, apartments, serviced apartments, penthouses, townships. The noteworthy developers include Merlin Group, Avani Group, Bengal Ambuja, Sonpal Group, Oasis, Todi Constructions Pvt Ltd. and Srijani Group etc.

Merlin Group is credited to the building of a number of posh residential complexes and apartments in Kolkata. They are Merlin Regency, Merlin Daisy, Merlin Emerald, Merlin Sapphire, Prerna and several others. Avani Group, on the other hand, consists of a team of professionals whose chief aim is to provide the clientele best and timely completion of projects. Satyam and Avani Vision, which are residential cum commercial projects, Raj Villas, luxurious Villas among the lustrous green parks are some of its finest projects.

The presence of Bengal Ambuja is not limited to Kolkata only but it is found in other cities also. The group has come up with lots of housing, leisure and retail projects in the realm of the city of late. . Their completed housing projects include Urvashi, Ulhas, Udayan, Utsa and Ujjwala etc.

These days, Rajarhat, the satellite township of Kolkata, represents the most modern real estate sector in Kolkata. The area has already become more prominent seeing that two real estate developers with development worth Rs 200 crore are set to invest in Kolkata real estate sector. The project is the result of a joint venture with West Bengal Housing Board.
