What is the greatest reason behind the success of Chandigarh’s real state industry? This question is often asked by many but they do forget the planned development of the city, serves as the capital of two states, Punjab and Haryana, and is also a union territory of India. Truly speaking, it is the planed development of the city on account of the endorsement of the Union Government of India that forms the basis. It is to be noted that the city is in the mode of expanding always even though this doesn’t take place at the expense of existing infrastructure. What is more, the Union Territory is gearing up to keep pace with the changing reality.
Chandigarh has already witnessed a number of promising projects from leading real estate developers including DLF, Parsvnath, Omaxe, Ansals API and Emaar MGF and it is said more are in the offing. In this regard, it has been found, Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB), the foremost civic authority responsible for all the housing related activities in the region, adopts a major role. CHB’s concentration or greater emphasis on mass housing projects is already known and its steady increase will change the existing reality forever, as stated by experts.
The project is, indeed, novel and is in conjunction with the new housing policy which emphasizes providing reasonable housing, considering the middle-income group as the potential user base. While the construction of 160 houses in Sector-26 East (Bapu Dham) for low-income households is a reality, other similar projects are being planned.
Well, local property developers, in order to introduce optimistic projects in the region, are also playing major roles. They include Amarisis, Venus group, Kwality buildtech and the majority of projects of these groups are in affordable category.
The scenario has also attracted an assortment of other developers and builders as well. They do include M/s Vikas House Bldg. Col. Private Ltd., M/s Chhabra land and Housing Ltd., Lamba Builders and Land Developers, M/s Anant Developer and Co. Pvt. Ltd. Pioneer Landcons (Pvt) Ltd.
