Meet the budding, spirited, young real estate investor

History is written by youngsters only and there can never be any doubt in it. Millions of such instances can be cited, even Karl Marx, founder of modern communism; wrote the Communist Manifesto with Engels in 1848, in his early thirties. So have you heard the name of Adam Blake?

Well, it is unlikely that you have heard his name; Adam Blake, 24, has already turned a residential real-estate business he started as a sophomore at Texas Christian University into a multimillion-dollar venture, in September closed on the purchase of the historic Electric Building in downtown Fort Worth from billionaire Robert Bass. Isn’t this great for a young lad? Definitely!

Have some more info also. Blake hopes it will be the first of several commercial real-estate purchases. Even though, as per his own assertions, the deal did catapult him into a market dominated by deep pockets, institutional investors and older developers, right where he wants to be.

What are the others saying of him then? Take for instance Terry Montesi, founding partner of the Fort Worth-based commercial real-estate firm Trademark Cos. As per Terry Montesi, “He definitely doesn’t look at his age as any sort of liability.”. “He has a lot of confidence and is generally fearless.”

On the other hand Blake has the portfolio to prove just how serious he is. His own company Atlas Properties was on the latest Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing private U.S. companies, reporting 2008 revenues of $5.8 million, up from $382,778 in 2005. And that’s just one of the nearly dozen companies and investment funds he owns.

It must be mentioned that Adam Blake has also gone through several ups and downs, but unlike others he has the courage to face up to life and the nefarious designs of destiny. This is called spirit.
