Spate of internet spellbinds Indian property dealers

The spate of online technology along with websites is exerting a great influence on Indian property dealers too. They are finding it as a more convenient tool of communication compared to any other and thanks to it, these days they can contact others and have relevant data within minutes. All these indicate that realty sector is having a strong foothold in the world of internet increasingly, the world that used to be under the domination of matrimony and automobile related websites only a few days back. A number of major builders in addition to others are listed on more than a few web sites.

On the word of Najeeb Zakaria, President of the Kochi branch of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India, this is a medium by means of which one can reach millions of people. What is more Mr. Zakaria considers the web as a marketing medium to target Keralites in the U.S., Europe or the Gulf and in other Indian States. With pictures and location maps being uploaded, the sites are turning out to be all the more relevant.

Take for instance the realty sector in the Indian state of Kerala. Major players in this sector are finding that a meticulous search for built-up properties or land in Kerala in internet generates bright results. Taking advantage of the web boom, builders are being witnessed to formulate their marketing plans after getting feedback from a range of sites on which they spread around. It is definitely one of the most cost-effective media that covers the target audience very well, Mr. Zakaria says.

One website that rules the roost these days is swapnakoodu.com and as per its managing partner,
P.R. Anish, the site takes no brokerage on dealings. “We give all the information and the contact person’s details on the site. The buyer and seller do the talking. We are only a medium to facilitate their coming together,” he adds.

The future is quite optimistic hence. Isn’t it?
